Earl Ramsey

My Uncle has passed away.  My mother called me last night at 10pm to let me know he had just moved on to bigger and better things.  He is survived by his Wife, Anita, Sons, Earl Jr and Brian, Daughters, Tammy and Chrissy. He also leaves behind brothers and a sister and a ton of other family and friends that love him dearly.  I can't begin to tell you how big of a heart this man had. All my memories of him are of times he made me laugh.  Either laughing with him or at him. He is also the worlds best story teller.  He knows how to talk your ear off.  He will be missed.

We got a Roller!

I put Rachel in the crib yesterday on her back.  I left the room and when I came back in she was on her side.  I missed the actual roll.  She is officially a mover and a shaker now.
She did it again today.  This time it was on her play mat.  She also did it in the crib but I didn't get a picture because she had rolled almost on to her tummy and had pinned her arm under her and was crying.  She was very upset she couldn't roll back over to her side or back.  Slow down Miss Rachel.  Take it one day at a time.

Maybe I can video her actually doing it.  She is sneak though....I have yet to see her do it.

Rachel Waves Hi

I can't believe it!!!  It worked.  I have been trying to get video up for 3 months now.

Here is proof of my "bad little girl".  She has the nasty habit of sucking her thumb.  It is cute right now but it won't be as she gets older.  I try to put a pacifier in her mouth when I see her sucking her thumb but she want nothing to do with that and puts her thumb right back in.  Well, we are paying the price now with Cheyenne's finger sucking so Rachel can just get in line.  We have a good dentist!

Congrats April!

April had her twins yesterday. Maleek Javares Martin weighs 5 lb 11 oz and Makenzee Marie Martin weighs 4 lb 8 oz. They are premature babies obviously and will stay at the hospital after April leaves. I can't wait to go see them tonight. I will put pictures up later tonight of Mom and her babies. Mackenzie is in the NIC Unit so I won't be able to get any close up shots of her.

April

Most of you know that I have been friends with Tina for over 25 years. I'm getting old! She has a younger sister, April. April is pregnant with twins. She is having a boy and a girl. Twins run in the family big time. I got a text message yesterday that April is 4 cm dialated. I am so excited for the arrival of another set of twins. The first belonging to Tina of course.

All ready for Church.

She is not sitting up by her self. She is doing good with holding her head up now. Won't be long until she is sitting up on her own.

Looks so much like her fater and not me! Thats ok.

4th of July Weekend

What a way to start a vacation.  I enjoyed laying in the hammock relaxing after a long car ride.

So did Rachel.  She did so good riding in the car.  She only fused if she needed food or a diaper change.  She is such a great baby.  Make that a Perfect Baby.

Rachel enjoyed being spoiled by Aunt Teresa again.
Yes I know this is an odd picture.  The point of it is so that you can see the brick column.  While I was enjoying that peaceful time on the hammock 80 bats came flying out of this column. Yes 80!  We did count them. We were all surprised.  It was quite a sight to see.  Needless to say Dave, Teresa's Dad, had that fixed the next day.  I tried to get pictures of the bats but they are quick.

Fun was had by all and we can't wait until our next trip.

Six Flags Over Georgia

Donnie and I spent our 4th of July with Teresa and Rich at Six Flags. It was our first time to a Six Flags park. We had a really great time. We love to ride roller coasters. Our first one for the day was their big Goliath Coaster. This ride is so big that half of it is going out of the park and into the parking lot. This ride has a 200 ft drop that is face down. Way cool!

Teresa decided to sit this one out. She couldn't brave the front row again.

This is a picture of the Cyclone. It is one of their wooden coaster. It is an evil ride. It is 1 Minute 48 Seconds of pure hell. This ride shakes you so bad you think you are going to die. We talked about accidentally dropping a match behind us. Put this ride out of its misery.

Now the Mind Bender is evil to if you sit by yourself and in the wrong seat. I sat, basically where the guy in the orange shirt is. When we hit one of the curved banks it folded me over and pined me there for a few seconds. I got off that ride and my back and neck were hurting. Lesson learned! Don't worry it didn't stop me from ridding more great rides.

This is a picture of me and Rich on our way to the Bungee Swing. This is where they strap you to a bungee cord, pull you up and back and let you fly!! Rich is the only person I could talk into doing this with me. I did this in Orlando about 10 years ago. I love it. How often do you get the chance to fly?

Getting strapped up! I believe they said this was 170ft up.

Video of our flying experience.
