We have named the baby!

After much debate over what to name this little girl we have finally come to an agreement. Her name will be Rachel Marie Canham. I really thought it would take us longer than this to name her. We had such a hard time agreeing on a name. Thank goodness it wasn't a boy. That is were the real struggle was. If only you could of heard some of the names we came up with. We had so much fun laying in bed at night just yelling out names. Sometimes they would be horrible and others not that bad. Sorry to those of you looking forward to the name Kosmo!

Look Out Below!!

You knew it would only be a matter of time. Just 2 days ago I hit the floor. I was walking from the kitchen to the front room and fell down the one tiny step we have there. It was like my brain stopped all of a sudden but my body had to much forward motion and it keep going. All 1?? lbs of me hit the floor right on my knees. I screamed as I fell because it scared the crap out of me then just keep saying Ow! Ow! Ow! Donnie was asleep on the couch. When he heard me and hit the floor running. He was worried something might be wrong with the baby. By the time he made it to me I had rolled over to my back side and just started yelling it's not the baby its my knees. The picture doesn't do the bruise justice. Needless to say I can't put any pressure on them for now.

Ultrasound

Donnie and I went to have the ultrasound today. Really, could you ask for a better birthday present. Times have really changed in the last 8 years. We were lucky enough to get the new 3D ultrasound and have everything put on DVD. It was so neat to see such a clear picture of the baby. As most of you know by now it is a GIRL!!! We could not be any happier. Now if we could only agree on a name.

We know what it is!!!

Half Way Point

We are finally at the half way mark. Today marks 20 weeks. I had a dream last night that I was wrong on my math and I was only 4 months not 5 months. I was very upset when I woke up until I did the math again and realized I was OK. I have finally made it. Everything is down hill from here.

Tuesday, Dec 11th, we will find out if it is a boy or a girl. What a great birthday present for Donnie. I will try to get the pictures from the ultrasound up as soon as possible but I do not have a scanner so I might have to get creative. Donnie and I have both had dreams that the baby is a boy so we will see if dreams come true or if our minds play tricks on us.

16 Weeks Picture

I just had Jordan take this picture of me. It is a little blurry because the camera is heavy for him to hold. I will put more pictures up as I grow.

Just Getting Started

I thought this would be a good idea for friends and family to keep track of our progress that might not be able to see us on a regular basis.



Now to get everyone caught up......

Most everyone knows this came as a surprise for Donnie and me. We had given up hope some time back on having our own child. I just about fell over when I saw 2 pink lines on the test. I could not believe after all these years it finally happen.



I went to the doctor on September 28, 07 and was able to get an ultrasound on my first visit. I was not able to tell the doctor how far along I thought I was so we played it safe and did the ultrasound. I was 10weeks and 1 day. I was so excited. 1st trimester almost over!!



Of course with in days I started in with the "morning sickness". For me it was night sickness. No matter what time of day it comes it is a pain non the less. I also started having a hard time walking. I went to the doctor to make sure it was "normal". Thank goodness, i guess, it is normal. He said because it has been 8 years since I have had a child and I am no spring chicken this pregnancy might prove to be my most difficult. I have learned that if I hurt bad to lay down on my side for a little while and I will feel better.



On October 29 I went to another routine visit. I was able to hear the heartbeat. It is a good strong beat.



My next appt. will be Nove 27th. Then comes the one everyone is waiting for. December 11th (Donnie's Birthday) @ 2:30 we will find out if it is a boy or a girl. Place your bets now.



It is amazing how much I have forgotten about being pregnant over the years. This time feels a lot like the first time. Jena gave me own of her pregnancy books so that I could refresh my memory. That has come in so handy.



I also feel like a first time mom because I need EVERYTHING again. I do not have anything from Jordan and Cheyenne. If you can think of it I need it.



Well, everyone should be caught up on the baby news. I will try to get the 1st ultrasound pictures up but at this time don't have a scanner. Have to go to a friends house to do it. I will also take some pictures of the belly bump.
